I´ve recently upgraded to Windows 10 and reget it ever since. If only I could downgrade again.

I can´t even launch Stalker SoC. I don´t receive any error messages. I press 'play' and two small windows pop up, one of which being a picture of Stalker SoC and the other one is just something loading in the background. I see that famous circle next to my mouse pointer indicating that something is loading, but nothing happens. A look at the task manager shows that Stalker SoC isn´t running in the background.

What shall I do? EDIT: My solution / fix. Go to Steam/SteamAppc/common/Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl/bin and right click on XR_3DA, select properties and go to compatibility. Then uncheck 'Run this program in compatibility mode for'. The game runs in Windows 10 natively. Myob 13 windows 8. No error message either. I know this may sound crazy to some, but if I won´t find a fix by the end of next week, I will re-install Windows 8.1 as any of my games have worked JUST FINE.

It appears that you have to uncheck the 'Run this program in compatibility mode for' option as a whole and the game will launch normally in Windows 10. Go to Steam/SteamAppc/common/Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl/bin and right click on XR_3DA, select properties and go to compatibility. Then uncheck 'Run this program in compatibility mode for'.

Also, I´ve read to uncheck the option in Steam for ingame-overlay. However, for me turning off the compatibility mode has fixed it.:D CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES, COME ON!
