Compaq presario 5151 desktop cdrom drive removal Hello there, I am working on a compaq presario 5151 desktop, that I am trying to change the cdrom drive in. I am unable to get to the 2 screws that are holding the drive into the bracket on the motherboard side.

Cpu: amd k6 -2 2/350afr 2.2v core/3.3v i/o a 9843aphw comes with heatsink HDD: Quantum IDE 8GB (wide and thin) Compaq part: 298464-001)) Quantum part: 5.25 series 8.0AT 286123-001 Mitak power supply MPU-110REFP CD-ROM 2X32MB RAM sticks 1 Texas Insruments, another LGS Floppy Drive, Case (missing one 5 1/2 bay cover), although not visible since there is a door that hides the drives. Problem description: Does not want to boot up, well, HDD spins but monitor does not power up. There is no AGP slot (just two ISA/PCI slots) so I do not have a spare card to test to see if video portion of it is hosed. Resetting CMOS by battery and jumpers did not seem to help (could be an old battery as well, it is original from Aug 10, 1998) PC SN: 1X8BBX35201M SKU: 320850-007 SERIES: 3443 TRACKING CODE: I got this from one of my co-worker's(traded it in for some speakers simply for the zip drive, reason there is a plate missing and really do not need the rest of it), his words were 'Just stopped working' he does have 16-yrs-old son so I suspect it has something to do with it. I do not have time to test each individual component so I like to sell it as is. I have no idea what HDD contains, but will ask buyer to whipe it clean once he/she recieves it.
